We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a Year 3 class in a primary school based in the Bradford area. This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Provide classroom support to the teacher and pupils, ensuring a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Assist individual and small groups of children with their learning, tailoring support to meet their needs.
  • Support pupils' social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Help maintain classroom organisation, prepare resources, and manage displays.
  • Foster positive relationships with pupils, parents, and staff.

Requirements:

  • Contribute to the implementation of individualised educational plans tailored to meet each child's learning goals.
  • Establish rapport with all children, adjusting communication to suit their comprehension levels.
  • Advocate for an inclusive and diverse learning atmosphere, ensuring equitable opportunities for every child.
  • Promote independence through a variety of activities and assignments.
  • Aid in presenting children's work and participate in the preparation of educational resources.
  • Provide support in hands-on activities, employing a range of teaching aids.
  • Cultivate positive conduct and empower children to take responsibility for their actions.
  • Assist in overseeing children in the absence of the class teacher, working alongside other support staff.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one is essential.
