Job Title: Electrical/Automation Engineer

Overview

We are looking for a driven and experienced Electrical/Automation Engineer to join our team. As the UK’s leading independent contract packer, we collaborate with major blue-chip companies in the food sector and are dedicated to providing outstanding customer service. Responsibilities

  • Conduct Planned Maintenance inspections and complete condition reports as per the site maintenance plan.
  • Optimize and adjust equipment during production runs.
  • Set up new lines according to job specifications to ensure high-quality output.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement.
  • Troubleshoot issues across various types of machinery.
  • Plan and execute corrective and reactive maintenance work, minimizing production downtime.

Qualifications

  • Qualification in Electrical Engineering.
  • Relevant experience in a process, production, or manufacturing setting.
  • Strong fitting skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within an engineering team.
  • Proficient in fault finding.
  • Strong logical problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with 3-phase motors, drives, and inverters.

Desirable Skills (not essential)

  • Familiarity with 3D design software.
  • Knowledge of 3D printing.
  • Experience with PLC programming.
  • Capability to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Willingness to engage in hands-on engineering projects.

Working Hours

The role involves working Monday to Friday from either 05:45 to 14:15 or 13:45 to 22:15 (40 hours per week, with early and late shifts rotating weekly).
