The Role:
The Credit & Accounts Payable Manager will oversee the efficient collection of cash, ensuring timely and consistent customer payments while also managing the purchase ledger to support supplier relationships. In addition, you will play a key role in cash flow forecasting to help the business maintain strong financial visibility and stability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the credit control process, ensuring timely collections while maintaining positive relationships with customers.
- Oversee the accounts payable process, ensuring accurate processing of invoices and timely payments to suppliers.
- Manage and monitor the cash flow forecasting process to support strategic financial planning.
- Develop best practices in credit management and accounts payable processes to improve overall efficiency.
- Assist in financial reporting and analysis, providing insights to senior management on payment trends and cash flow.
- Maintain strong controls and compliance around cash management and ledger activities.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Proven experience in credit control and/or accounts payable roles
- Strong financial acumen with a track record in cash flow forecasting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal teams professionally.
- Proficiency in financial systems and processes, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Previous experience managing or mentoring staff is highly desirable.
