JHE & Partners are excited to be working exclusively with a brand new start-up business who are looking for a finance manager on a permanent basis. This is a superb opportunity working alongside a highly experienced, knowledgeable and supportive FD. 

The business has a very strong business plan with a solid first year forecast.  Working closely with the senior leadership team, the opportunities within this role are endless, for the chosen candidate to form their own team and ultimately manage and run the finance function of the business. Initially, the role will incorporate all areas of finance; from transactional through to management accounts, however the chosen candidate will have the autonomy to implement ideas and processes to ensure the function runs at maximum efficiency.

Duties include:

  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including purchase/sales ledgers, payroll, and reconciliations.
  • Lead month-end processes, including journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Produce accurate monthly management accounts and financial reports for senior stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, regulations, and audits (VAT, CIS, PAYE/NIC).
  • Maintain and manage the fixed asset register and nominal ledger.
  • Develop and implement financial process improvements.
  • Support strategic financial planning and decision-making

Package will offer a salary in the region of £40,000 - £48,000, 25 days holiday + bank, free parking with other benefits.
