Assembly Fitter
Perm, £35k-£45k DOE, 40hrs per week, Mon to Fri

I am looking for an experienced Fitter, ideally multi-skilled, although Electrical or Mechanical bias will be welcome, for one of my Bradford based Engineering clients.
Working under the Engineering Manager, your role will be the Mechanical and/or Electrical Build and Assembly of various bespoke machines, products and processes. You will be required to assist in the repair, maintenance and servicing of the plant, equipment, tooling and systems where required.
Other day to day tasks will include:
-Manufacture of components and sub-assemblies to drawing, specification and schedule
-Design and assemble control and HMI panels, using appropriate standard layouts and common circuits to current regulations and legislation
-To manufacture prototypes and components as requested by the Design Team
-Produce accurate drawings of the control circuit, electrical and pneumatic reflecting the “as built” state of the system
-Organise the day-to-day tasks, with attention to drawings and customer specification and schedule, including accompanying paperwork
-Provide any Apprentice Technician’s, the necessary training to carry out their duties safely and expand their knowledge and skills base
-Prepare all documentation as required by both the customer’s specification and my client
-Maintain up to date knowledge of modern processes, machinery, equipment and techniques which will enhance my client’s reputation
-When required, to assemble components and subassemblies, wire and pipe systems
-Installation and commissioning of the system/machine at customer premises
To be successful, you must have either a Degree, HNC or be Apprentice Trained in either Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, with Fitting/Assembly experience. Other keys skills required:
-Extensive product and industry knowledge
-A good level of client relationship skills for site visits
-Have a high degree of attention to detail and a desire for high quality output
-Good ability to learn new practical skills
-Ability to work in a multi skilled manufacturing environment
-Valid driving license
-Ability to work to deadlines
-Open to self-development
You will be required to work 40hrs per week, 8am to 5.15pm from Mon to Thurs with an early finish on a Fri. The Salary for the role is between £35k and £45k pa, Depending on Experience. Any Overtime worked is paid at time + ¼ on weekdays and time + ½ on weekends. The role is advertised as Permanent.
