We require enthusiastic, motivated Technicians to carry out Electrical and Mechanical maintenance on trains, to ensure relevant maintenance, repairs and installations are completed to the required standards. Â
The Situation
You will be working for a Government run organisation who provide state of the art rail solutions. You will be required to complete Electrical maintenance, repairs and installation to trains; as well as mechanical duties as and when required. This will suit an individual who enjoys a hands on, varied role.
This is a hands-on position and may involve completing both Electrical and Mechanical repairs and maintenance to fleets of rolling stock.
This role is a permanent role, working days, nights and weekends.
The Candidate
- Previous experience of completing electrical upgrades and repairs to vehicles; including, trains, buses, HGV, marine or aerospace
- Excellent understanding of electrical schematics
- Willing to get involved with mechanical duties on occasion
Essential
- NVQ Level 3/equivalent minimum qualification in a relevant subject
- Previous experience completing repairs and maintenance to vehicles.
- Must have excellent fault finding skills and be able read schematic diagrams.Â
Desirable
- Previous rail experience
