About Us: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Room Leader to join our Private Day Nursery in Drighlington. As a Room Leader, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional Early Years Education and care to children aged 0-5 years, in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of Early Years Practitioners, ensuring the highest standards of care and learning are delivered to children.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate engaging learning activities based on the EYFS framework, ensuring each child's development is supported.
- Promote a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment where every child feels valued and can thrive.
- Conduct observations, document children's progress, and complete assessments in line with EYFS and Development Matters guidelines.
- Manage and mentor a team of practitioners, offering guidance, support, and training as necessary to ensure high-quality practice.
- Work closely with parents and carers to provide regular updates on their child's development, progress, and well-being.
- Ensure that the room is compliant with all Ofsted regulations and nursery policies.
- Take a proactive role in the implementation of safeguarding, health and safety, and child protection policies.

Essential Requirements:
- Level 3 Early Years Education and Childcare qualification (or equivalent).
- A minimum of 2 years' experience working in an early years setting, with some experience in a supervisory role.
- A sound understanding of the EYFS framework and Ofsted requirements.
- Experience of planning, observing, and assessing children's development.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of practitioners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
Desirable Skills:
- SEN (Special Educational Needs) experience and understanding of inclusive practices.
- Experience working with 2-year-olds or in a Toddler Room.
- Paediatric First Aid qualification.
- Leadership and management training (e.g. level 4/5 qualification).
