A prestigious Secondary school based in North East Bradford have come to NextGen Teachers to recruit a full-time Head of Faculty for Humanities starting after the Easter break or, in September 2025. This is the perfect opportunity for an experienced teacher who is looking for their next step up into a Head of Faculty role.

This school is part of a large local Multi-Academy Trust who are high performing with great leaders and a supportive team. The school are looking for a Head of Faulty for Humanities with a preferable background in Geography teaching who is passionate about their subject.

The Role:

As Head of Humanities, you will:

  • Lead the Humanities department, ensuring the delivery of an engaging and high-quality lessons up to GCSE
  • Oversee the teaching of Humanities (History, Geograhy and RE) across KS3 & KS4
  • Develop and implement curriculum improvements, assessments, and staff development initiatives
  • Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team
  • Play a key role in recruiting, mentoring, and managing departmental staff

The Ideal Candidate:

A passionate and experienced Humanities (Geography) teacher with a track record of outstanding teaching and curriculum leadership
Experience teaching up to GCSE
A dynamic leader with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong administrative and organisational skills, with experience managing budgets and departmental resources
