Marks Sattin are currently working with a Bradford based SME who are looking for a Purchase Ledger Controller on a permanent basis.

This role would be responsible for end-to-end Purchase Ledger management on a standalone basis, managing everything from inputting to query resolution. This would suit a candidate with a strong AP background, with experience of working within a fast paced & growing SME.

There is also a strong chance that this role will move into a Purchase Ledger Team Leader role over the next few years, with great progression opportunities available!

For this position, our client will pay £30,000 - £34,000 and can also offer hybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 days at home).

Responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Accurate three way matching of supplier invoices.
  • Liaising with suppliers regarding payments and queries.
  • Processing of all purchase invoices
  • Maintenance of the purchase ledger accounts, ensuring balances are tidy, controlled and reconciled to supplier statements on a monthly basis.
  • Ensuring unallocated cash and credit balances are kept to a minimum.
  • Processing of staff expense claims.
  • Preparing and performing weekly BACS payment runs.
  • Maintenance and verification of supplier bank details.
  • Setting up of new supplier accounts.
  • Reconciliation of Purchase Ledger to month end Nominal Ledger reports.
