This is an exciting opportunity to join a secondary school in Bradford with a light timetable focusing primarily on delivering French and Spanish lessons. The role also includes some general cover responsibilities, ensuring variety in your day-to-day duties. This position is full-time, starting immediately after February half term, and will initially run until Easter, with the potential to extend until summer.

• Contract: Full - time role
• Pay Rate: £150 - £223 per day (UPS rates will be considered)

Essential Requirements

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.
• An understanding of the national curriculum for languages
• An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

Skills

• Proven ability to plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Experience with both summative and formative evaluation techniques.
• Creativity in lesson planning.
• Skilled at using assessment data to track and monitor students' progress.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities, with the ability to build positive relationships with staff members, parents, and students.
• Ability to motivate and inspire students to develop a passion for languages.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging French and Spanish lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
• Develop lesson plans that align with the national curriculum.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
• Organise and lead extracurricular activities related to MFL.
• Cover lessons across other subjects when needed.
• Assure the full involvement of all students by offering tailored support to those who require extra assistance or challenge.
• Engage students in a variety of practical language-learning applications.
• Engage in extracurricular activities such as language clubs and cultural events.
• Participate in school-wide initiatives and activities to help the school grow as a whole.
• Actively participate in department meetings, sharing best practices and contributing to the ongoing development of the MFL curriculum.
