Health & Safety Lead

£40,000 with excellent benefits

Mpeople are proud to be working with a global travel management solutions provider as they are looking to add to their Bradford team.

Based in Bradford, West Yorkshire, our client is an award-winning provider of innovative travel management solutions for corporate and government clients. Focusing on delivering personalised service excellence and cutting-edge technology to ensure clients receive the best return on investment.  In this role, you will play a pivotal part in leading senior management teams to ensure compliance towards safety and risk assessment, specifically for my client's specialist projects. You will collaborate closely with third-party consultants to monitor, assess, and continuously improve safety standards across contracted UK accommodations.

You will:

  • Review and monitor all property audits from third-party consultancies.
  • Undertake desktop reviews of audits and risk assessments, addressing concerns as needed.
  • Conduct on-site visits to properties under contract to ensure adherence to health and safety measures.
  • Oversee property audits in collaboration with third-party auditors to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Build and maintain essential relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analyse health and safety data from in-house reporting systems to prioritise action.
  • Participate in routine meetings to address health and safety matters.

To thrive in this role, the successful candidate will have:

  • Proven experience as a Health and Safety Manager, ideally with a background in the corporate travel or hotel industry.
  • A degree in Health and Safety or advanced-level qualifications from a recognised governing body, e.g., NEBOSH.
  • Experience in maintaining Quality Management Systems, particularly ISO 9001.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrable experience in project management and change management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A flexible approach and ability to travel throughout the UK regularly.
