Deputy Practice Manager
- Annual Salary: £42,000

- Job Type: Full-time – happy to consider 30 hours per week
- Temp initially 1-2 months – could be extended
Our client is seeking a Deputy Practice Manager to join their practice. This role requires a self-motivated and disciplined individual to support the Practice Manager and ensure the efficient day-to-day running of the service.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Support the Practice Manager in all aspects of practice functionality including staff motivation and management, patient services, premises, and health and safety management.
- Manage and coordinate practice operations, promoting quality, continuous improvement, and collaborative working.
- Line manage reception, secretarial, and administration staff, including conducting appraisals, recording sickness, and managing annual leave.
- Implement systems for resolving disciplinary and grievance issues, and maintain an overview of staff welfare.
- Manage IT resources, safeguard patient records, and ensure the clinical system and appointment availability are efficiently managed.
- Be the first point of contact for the complaints process, resolving problems and complaints with staff and patients.
- Support the Practice Manager in reviewing and updating practice policies and procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in primary care management.
- Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using clinical systems like SystmOne.
- Demonstrable customer service skills.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload.
