Role Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated 1:1 SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) Teaching Assistant to support a student with SEMH needs. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in helping the student engage with their learning, develop social skills, and navigate challenges in a supportive environment.


Key Responsibilities:


Provide tailored support to the student on a 1:1 basis to help them engage in classroom activities.
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
Foster a positive and safe learning environment, promoting emotional well-being and resilience.
Use strategies to help the student manage their emotions and behavior effectively.
Monitor and track the students progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as needed.
Assist with personal care and daily routines as required.


Qualifications and Skills:


Experience working with children with SEMH needs, ideally within an educational setting.
Understanding of SEMH challenges and strategies to support students effectively.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and the ability to build trusting relationships with students.
Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) are desirable.
