NextGen Teachers are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a school based in Bradford (BD8) for Head of Department (History). The school are seeking a dynamic Head of Department to lead, inspire, and manage their History department.

The school is seeking a HOD with a proven track record of success in improving standards and solid experience in a middle leadership role. The role of History Subject Lead is ideal for an experienced teacher who has the ability to develop a curriculum that can be suited to every type of learner within the school.

The school is part of a local multi-academy trust who hold high standards, strong behaviour management polices and are rated OUTSTANDING by Ofsted.

Requirements:

  • A degree in History
  • Qualified Teaching status
  • Middle management experience
  • Ability to teach to GCSE standards
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to complete one)
  • 2x professional references
  • Right to work in the UK
