Justteachers are working with a primary school in Bradford that is seeking a dedicated and caring Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their team. This full-time role will start after the Easter holidays and run until Christmas, with the potential for a permanent position if the right candidate is found.

The ideal candidate will have a nurturing approach, supporting the development of young children in their early years. While a Level 3 qualification in Early Years education is preferred, it is not essential if you have relevant experience and a passion for working with young children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum

  • Assist with the development of children's social, emotional, and academic skills

  • Provide one-on-one support for children who may need extra assistance

  • Foster a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment for all students

  • Support children in both indoor and outdoor activities

  • Help monitor children's progress and support in assessment activities

  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding children's development

  • Work closely with the teaching team to ensure effective delivery of the curriculum

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification (desirable but not essential)

  • Experience working with young children, ideally in an Early Years setting

  • A patient, caring, and supportive approach

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

  • Passionate about supporting children's development in their early years

  • A positive and proactive attitude to learning and working with children

  • The legal right to work in the UK

  • Will be subject to Enhanced DBS checks or be willing to apply for one
