An exciting opportunity has arisen to join this worthwhile charity as our new HR Manager. Over the last few years, we have grown significantly and continue to do so, which is why it is such an exciting time to join the team.This is a key role, and you will support our strategic plan to deliver a mission-ready organisation fit for the future. You will also ensure the efficient operational management of the HR function as well as managing complex employee relations cases. The ideal candidate will have previous HR management experience and a good level of general HR knowledge, including employee relations, recruitment and reward. Organisation, analysis, attention to detail and relationship building skills are all crucial to being successful in this role. This is a varied role where no two days are the same. If you enjoy a busy role where there is always room to learn and develop, then this is an excellent opportunity for you. YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To provide advice and support to line managers with a range of complex HR queries and issues during the full employee life cycle
  • Assist and support line managers in complex employee relations cases including absence, conduct and capability, by conducting interviews, investigations, disciplinaries and grievances
  • To recruit, train, develop, support and manage HR staff and volunteers
  • Manage all HR administration within the team, ensuring accuracy and efficiency within agreed SLA's
  • Oversee and manage all HR systems, ensuring data accuracy and continuous improvement to workflows
  • To support the Head of People, Payroll and Process in overseeing and reviewing HR and Payroll policies, procedures and processes to comply with legislation whilst working with SMT to ensure their effectiveness
  • To assist in the processing of the monthly society-wide payroll as and when required
  • Provide coaching and training to new line managers on HR policies and procedures
  • To collate, produce and analyse HR management information by providing accurate reports both regularly and on an ad-hoc basis as required to analyse trends, monitor compliance and review HR performance

Working Hours =You will be contracted to work 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday).Location = Bradford - The centre is based near the city centre with excellent public transport links and also free on-site parking. Hybrid or remote working may be considered for the right candidate.   • Good standard of education, preferably at a higher educational or degree level
  • Experience working in a similar HR management role
  • Effective people management experience in a wide range of HR and performance related matters
  • IT proficient with good competence in the use of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and ACAS best practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and is able to communicate complex and/or sensitive information to colleagues
