Our focus is on delivering outstanding student outcomes while ensuring staff feel valued and supported.The Role of HR AdvisorAs an HR Advisor, you will play a key role in the HR team, providing timely, adaptive, and compliant HR advice and administration across the entire employee lifecycle. Working closely with the HR Business Partner and HR Administration Team, you will support line managers, ensuring the College maintains its high standards and continues to be an employer of choice.Key Responsibilities• Provide expert first-line HR support to managers and team leaders, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.• Address and resolve HR queries efficiently, working collaboratively with colleagues where needed.• Assist HR Business Partners with operational and cyclical HR activities, including workforce planning, employee relations, and performance management.• Support HR training and development initiatives for management teams.• Attend formal hearings and meetings, ensuring accurate minute-taking and effective communication of outcomes.• Maintain professional and proactive relationships with managers, providing flexible support while ensuring deadlines are met.• Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures that align with the College’s strategic objectives.• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements in areas such as absence management, disciplinaries, grievances, and redundancies.• Undertake any other HR-related duties as required by the Line Manager or Head of HR.Other Requirements• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting a safe learning environment for students.• Uphold equality, diversity, and inclusion principles in all aspects of the role.• Support health and safety initiatives within the College.• Maintain confidentiality and act with professionalism at all times.What We’re Looking For- HR AdvisorEssential:• GCSEs (A*-C) or Level 2 qualification in Maths and English (or willingness to pass an assessment before the interview).• CIPD Level 3 qualification or equivalent relevant experience.• HR experience with knowledge of generalist HR issues and employee relations, including handling grievances and disciplinaries.• Strong understanding of employment legislation.• Ability to analyse HR data to identify trends and report insights.• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with a proactive, solution-focused mindset.Desirable:• Studying towards CIPD Level 5.• HR experience within the education sector.• Ability to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment.• Flexible and adaptable approach to work.Behaviours We Value• Inclusivity: Building positive relationships and fostering a sense of belonging.• Trustworthiness: Acting with integrity and accountability.• Excellence: Demonstrating passion, commitment, and a results-driven approach.This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a supportive and progressive HR team within a well-regarded college.
