Engineering & Resistant Materials/Product Design Teacher

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Engineering & Resistant Materials/Product Design Teacher to join our dynamic Design & Technology department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, product design, and resistant materials, with experience with machine training and a commitment to delivering engaging and practical lessons.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Engineering, Product Design, and Resistant Materials at KS3/KS4.
  • Teach students how to safely and effectively use workshop machinery and equipment.
  • Develop innovative and hands-on learning experiences to enhance student's technical skills and creativity.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are strictly followed in all practical sessions.
  • Support students with coursework, projects, and exam preparation.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and enhance the curriculum.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities, workshops, and STEM initiatives.
Candidate Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE in Design & Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Machine trained and certified with experience in using and maintaining workshop machinery.
  • Experience teaching Engineering, Product Design, or Resistant Materials at secondary level.
  • Excellent classroom management and a passion for inspiring students.
