  • This permanent role offers a salary of £12.01 per hour, with overtime paid at 1.5 times the regular rate.
  • Candidates must have previous experience in an assembly role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • The working hours are Monday to Thursday from 8:00 to 16:30 and Friday from 8:00 to 15:30, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
  • Applicants should be proficient with hand and power tools, have a strong attention to detail, and be willing to work overtime at short notice.

Our client is a successful and well-established manufacturer.  They are looking for an Assembly Operative / Production Assembler to work in their busy factory.  This is a permanent role (after the usual 3 months probation).

Salary: £12.01 per hour + Overtime (x1.5)

Working hours: Monday – Thursday 8.00 – 16.30, and Friday 8.00 – 15.30, with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break.

Duties and Responsibilities:
 
•    To position, align and fit manufactured / purchased parts to form complete units or sub-units.
•    To following engineering assembly drawings.
•    To follow quality specifications of build programme.
•    Utilising basic hand tools including drills, grinders, clamps, cutting tools and rivet guns.
•    To verify product and build dimensional conformance to engineering drawings using squares, rulers, and measuring equipment.
•    To clean all units / subunits prior to packing and despatch.
•    Any other duties as reasonable requested by management.
 
Applicant Requirements:

•    Previous experience in an Assembly role in a manufacturing / production / factory / engineering environment.
•    Used to using a wide variety of hand and power tools (essential)
•    Ability to follow processes and procedures accurately.
•    A good team player.
•    Willing to work overtime at short notice.
•    Have a meticulous and efficient work ethic.
•    Attention to detail.
