Mechanical Fitter

Mechanical Fitters required to join an nationally renowned fabrication business on a permanent basis. Starting hourly rate £15.75 per hour, double time, Flexible working hours, and a 4-DAY WORKING WEEK. Our client is a world leader in its field with an order book stretching well into 2026.

The Mechanical Fitters will be working from a state of the art facility, based in Bradford. Easily accessible from surrounding areas such as Leeds, Halifax, Keighley and Batley.

What is on offer to the Mechanical Fitters:

• Starting rate of between £15.75 per hour per hour
• 4 Day working week
• Working hours Monday - Thursday Flexible start and Finish Times
• Regular overtime available at 150% and DOUBLE
• 28 days of Holiday
• Free on-site parking
• Fixed term contract between 6 - 12 months. These positions could also be made permanent.

Main responsibilities of the Mechanical Fitters:

• Supporting the fabrication team with the installation of pipe-work
• Assembling pipe, fitting flanges and associated parts
• Effectively using hand tools such as spanners, drills, taps and torque wrenches
• Working directly from Engineering & Isometric drawings

Experience required of the Mechanical Fitters:

• Previous pipe fitting experience within a Fabrication, Welding or Engineering environment
• A strong mechanical fitting/assembly background
• Possess formal qualifications within a relevant discipline (Apprenticeship, NVQ/BTEC/City & Guilds Level 3, HNC, HND etc.) would be ideal but NOT ESSENTIAL
