Mechanical Fitter/Field Service Technician (Water Treatment with Progression to management)

Salary: £40,000 + £45,000 + Training + Progression + Overtime


Location: Bradford (Commutable from Leeds, Huddersfield, Wakefield, Harrogate)

Are you an experienced Mechanical Fitter/Technician with a background in the water industry or similar with a background in welding/steel/aluminium structure assembling? Do you want take your career to the next level by securing a senior role in the dynamic field of mechanical engineering?

On offer is a chance to join a well-established family-run company with over 24 years of experience in the industry. You will be responsible for travelling to customer's sites to carry out inspections, mechanical maintenance service and fitting works across the region including, cutting, bending, structural welding, and the assembling of metal structures such as pumps, tanks and pipelines for some of the biggest contracts in the UK

You will be part of a company that is a leading supplier in steel and waste water treatment solutions, serving the largest UK water contracts, all whilst working towards a senior managerial position within the company

This is a great opportunity for someone from an assembling/fitting/structural fabrication background, ideally holding a HNC or equivalent qualification to take on an assembly/fitter role with progression to management at a forward thinking company.

You will oversee the daily fabrication process, manage equipment repairs and coordinate with engineers, customers, and suppliers to ensure high quality work and safety compliance

The role:

  • Carry out both workshop and on-site inspections or mechanical/fitting work
  • Ensure all projects are manufactured/assembled within project timeline
  • Work closely with suppliers and partners

The Person:

  • Mechanical Fitting/Assembling background
  • Structural Welding experience
  • Clean Driving License
