Veritas Education is seeking a dedicated Pastoral / Behaviour Support Officer to join one of our partner schools in the Bradford area. This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to make a real difference in students' lives by providing essential support with behaviour, well-being, and engagement in education.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs.

  • Monitor and manage student conduct, promoting positive behaviour across the school.

  • Offer guidance and intervention strategies to help students overcome challenges.

  • Work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and senior leadership to implement behaviour support plans.

  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, interventions, and incidents.

  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, and external agencies to support student welfare.

  • Contribute to a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Requirements:
  • Experience working in a pastoral, behaviour support, or student welfare role within an educational setting.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate young people.

  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage challenging situations effectively.

  • A proactive, adaptable, and empathetic approach to student support.

  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service is essential.
