Maintenance Engineer
£35,000 - £45,000 + £2,000 Bonus
Location: Bradford

I am seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join a leading organization in the packaging industry. This role offers a competitive salary reflecting experience, along with a bonus structure, generous holiday entitlement, and a pension plan.

Salary & Benefits:

  • Up to £45,000
  • £2,000 annual bonus
  • 23 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • 3% pension scheme

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Early Shift: 05:45 am - 14:15 pm
  • Late Shift: 13:45 pm - 22:15 pm
  • 40 hours per week with rotating early and late shifts
  • Rarely any weekend work

Role Overview:
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of packaging machinery. This is an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshooting and resolving electrical and mechanical issues with packaging equipment.
  • Performing routine maintenance and servicing on various machinery.
  • Conducting fault finding on electrical systems, including HMIs and control panels.
  • Supporting commissioning of new machinery and conducting breakdown repairs.
  • Reading and interpreting electrical diagrams and schematics.
  • Working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems as required.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations in all maintenance activities.

Essential Requirements:

  • Strong multi skilled engineer with a electrical preference.
  • Previous experience in the packaging industry or similar machinery is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work effectively with large machinery and complex systems.
  • Relevant qualifications in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
