Our client is a global leader in glass manufacturing and a market leader in their field! The Thrive Group is looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer at their largest site in Bradford. Reporting to the Branch Manager you will be responsible for mechanical and electrical breakdown repairs on processing plant and equipment.

The main responsibilities will be to:

  • Establish and carry out planned preventative maintenance activities to maximise plant reliability.
  • Undertake planned and emergency repairs in a safe and timely manner including any follow up actions and recording of work using SAP.
  • Working safely and following industry best practice.
  • Developing Risk Assessment and Method Statements for all engineering activities.
  • Working alongside contractors during planned maintenance opportunities.
  • Manage and maintain stock levels of machinery spares and consumables.
  • Carry out fault finding and diagnostics in emergency breakdown situations.

Working hours are 37.5 hours per week, from 8am-4pm Monday to Friday.

You must have served a recognised apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering. The ideal candidate will have some previous experience of electrical maintenance within a processing or manufacturing environment.

Experience of using H&S systems/SAP or other CMMS system is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.

Candidates should have a flexible approach to their working hours to meet the needs of the business. Good written and verbal communication skills are essential to this role.
