Alecto Recruitment is looking to hear from experienced Engineering Managers or Senior Engineers who can offer experience from the quarrying, recycling or aggregates processing industry, who would be interested in a full time, permanent position in the West Yorkshire area.
Working Monday to Friday you will oversee engineering operations at a busy heavy processing facility, overseeing maintenance and repair works on processing machinery, overseeing all aspects of Health & Safety and undertaking project work.

Ideally you will have experience as Engineering Manager in one of the following industries - recycling, milling, power generation, renewable energy, quarrying, mining.
Duties
- Lead and manage a team of engineers, technicians, and support staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
- Develop and implement effective maintenance and operational strategies to optimize productivity and equipment utilization.
- Oversee all engineering activities, including equipment maintenance, repairs, and upgrades, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective measures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as production, safety, and quality control, to ensure seamless operations and achieve business objectives.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, equipment, and processes to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve overall performance.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal quality standards.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to resolve complex engineering issues and troubleshoot equipment problems as they arise.
- Develop and manage the engineering budget, effectively controlling costs and resources while maintaining high standards of service.
Applicant Profile
- Senior Engineer or Engineer Manager level in the quarrying, recycling or aggregates processing industry.
- Experienced in carrying out maintenance and repair of heavy plant and diesel-powered processing machinery.
- Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualifications and hands-on experience.
- Driving licence.
- Based in West Yorkshire.
- Experienced in managing Health & Safety policies and procedures.
