Futures are working with a business who have recently won a number of high-profile contracts. The successful Contracts Engineer must be proficient with SolidWorks and sheet metal.

Contracts Engineer – Mechanical Design Engineer, Design, Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Energy, Building Services, Fabrication

  • Design, develop, and implement innovative solutions, prototypes, and proof-of-concept models based on project requirements
  • Create detailed drawings for designs including General Assemblies
  • Create and manage BOM (Bill of Material) data for all Designed, Produced and Assembled items
  • Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and technical evaluations to determine the viability and scalability of proposed solutions
  • Develop and execute test plans, experiments, and validation protocols to assess the performance and reliability of developed prototypes
  • Lead and manage research and development of new and existing products and components- from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project scope, budget, and timeline
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality, production and product management, to define project goals, deliverables, and success criteria

  • Good knowledge of a high-end 3D and 2D CAD systems, Ideally SolidWorks and AutoCAD or similar
