Lead Mechanical Design Engineer (Material Handling)£45,000 - £65,000 + Training Commutable from Bradford, Harrogate, Bradford, Leeds, Halifax, Huddersfield Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer looking to take the next step in your career where you will take on a lead role and become a technical expert within a specialist company at the forefront of an exciting industry?On offer is an opportunity to be the go-to Design Engineer taking the helm on design projects where no two days will be the same. Alongside this, you may receive funded training, attain management qualifications and further technical development.The company are the UK's only supplier of a specialist product looking to continually grow and broaden their client base giving you the opportunity to pioneer design on a bespoke, and niche product list.You will be responsible for the full product design using Solidworks CAD as well as the management of a team of design engineers ensuring the products functionality on a client by client basis.This role would suit a mechanical design engineer looking to become a senior go-to engineer, lead a team and showcase your skills.The Role:

  • Design material handling and hoist products for clients using SOLIDWORKS CAD
  • 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday
  • Occasional site travel and travel abroad dependent on orders
  • Responsibility for all stress testing (FEA), liaison with customers/sales team, and fully costed estimates

The Person:

  • **Must be a British National due to specific security clearance**
  • Experience with SOLIDWORKS CAD including FEA and MathCAD or equivalent
  • HNC/HND qualification or equivalent in relevant engineering discipline
  • Knowledge of Hydraulic equipment beneficial
  • Structural Steel background would be an advantage
