MECHANICAL ENGINEER

MONDAY - FRIDAY:

£35,000 PER ANNUM

People Solutions are looking for a Mechanical Engineer for our client based in Bradford.

Day to Day Duties

  • Design and Development: Create and develop mechanical systems, products, and components using CAD software, ensuring functionality, safety, and efficiency
  • Prototyping and Testing: Build prototypes, run simulations, and conduct tests to evaluate product performance and make necessary adjustments
  • Analysis and Problem Solving: Analyse problems related to mechanical systems, diagnose faults, and develop solutions to improve efficiency or fix issues
  • Project Management: Plan, organize, and oversee projects from concept through completion, ensuring they meet deadlines, quality standards, and budget constraints
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, product designers, and manufacturing staff, to ensure integrated solutions
  • Documentation: Prepare technical reports, specifications, and detailed documentation for designs, processes, and test results
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that designs comply with industry standards and government regulations, including safety codes and environmental guidelines
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with the latest technologies and engineering advancements to apply innovative solutions in new and existing projects
  • Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Provide support for the maintenance of mechanical systems and troubleshoot issues in both production and field environments

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Experience in product design, prototyping, and testing

Desirable Experience

  • Previous experience within the Water Industry would be desirable
