Mechanical Engineering Tutor

We are working with an education provider in West Yorkshire who are looking for a Mechanical Engineering Tutor to join their engineering training team on a full-time, permanent basis.

The job role would consist of you delivering training to Mechanical Engineering learners (at level 2 & level 3) at the education provider's training centre in West Yorkshire. The training delivery will be focused around Machining and CNC operation skills, but would involve both workshop-based and classroom-based teaching.

Working hours will be 8:30am to 4:30pm (Monday to Friday), with circa 24 hours of weekly face-to-face teaching, and the remainder of time used for preparation and meetings.

You would need to deliver training on some (or all if possible) of the following units:
-Producing components using hand fitting skills
-Producing mechanical assemblies
-Preparing and using lathes and milling machines
-Engineering & Environmental Health & Safety
-Engineering Communications
-Properties and applications of Engineering Materials
-Engineering Mathematics
-CNC programming/operation
-Engineering Inspection & Quality Control
-Engineering Drawing

The starting salary for this position is between 38,000 and 40,000 per annum, and the package would also include a company pension, and 25 days holiday (plus Bank Holidays and closure days).

To be eligible for the position, you MUST have:
-A level 3 Mechanical Engineering qualification
-Experience of machining
-A teaching qualification
