Metalis are working with a specialist engineering company who design and manufacture machinery and production equipment for a range of industries. Due to continuous growth our client are looking for a Electromechanical Inspector to join their team.

The Electromechanical Inspector is responsible for ensuring that the machinery conforms to client expectations when installed on site.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the engineering & build team in the completion of any internal or customer non-conformances, to support a closed loop feedback and prevent reoccurrence.
  • Oversee the machine shipment as it leaves the plant.
  • Produce the shipment list.
  • Complete the inspection documentation and final report.
  • When required install, test and commission the machine on customers site dealing with non-conformances during the re-build and commissioning phase.
  • Support the Service / Aftermarket departments on retools and refits where necessary.
  • Undertake troubleshooting internally and on the customers site.
Key Skills Requirements:

  • Qualified to NVQ Level 3, HNC or HND in Electrical Engineering or alternative required discipline.
  • Knowledge of production machinery & grinding processes
  • Understanding of machine tools is essential
  • Experienced in Soft PLC to iec61131
  • Understanding of Field Bus Profinet, Profibus.
  • Good customer service skills with expertise in troubleshooting, diagnosing and solving complex machining related problems.
