First Achieve's Engineering Division is seeking an all-round Fitter for their client specializing in commercial fuel management and environmental services.
The role requires inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) and plant equipment to ensure they meet safety standards.
Candidates should have proven experience in maintaining and repairing HGVs, commercial vehicles, and plant equipment, along with welding and fabrication skills.
The position offers a salary of up to £55k and includes benefits such as a company van and 20 days of annual leave plus bank holidays.
An HGV license is preferable, and the ideal candidate should have experience of at least a few years in a related field.

First Achieve's Engineering Division are hiring for an all-round Fitter for their client who specialise in offering a comprehensive solution for all commercial fuel management and environmental services.

You will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy goods vehicles (HGVs), Plant equipment ensuring they are roadworthy and meet safety standards.

The role involves preventative maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and carrying out repairs to a high standard, with attention to health and safety regulations. You will also maintain accurate service records, perform pre-MOT checks and communicate with fleet managers regarding vehicle conditions and repair timelines, work with Plant machinery, hydraulics & electrics.

The Salary on offer for this role is up to £55k.

Requirements:

Proven experience in maintaining and repairing HGVs, commercial vehicles, plant equipment, hydraulics and electrics.
Welding and fabrication skills, with the ability to perform pre-MOT checks and preventative maintenance.
HGV license is preferable.
