Experienced Sheet Metal Worker required for a well-established local employer. You will undertake the manufacturing of all types of fabrications & metalwork for bespoke machining. The role would suit someone with previous experience of producing high quality fabrications or with a relevant welding, fabrication apprenticeship or qualifications.

As the Sheet Metal Worker you will be responsible for:

Reading, interpreting and working to engineering drawings
Cutting metal using saws and guillotines
Working with mainly thin gauge material
Operating a press brake
TIG welding and tacking 1-2 mm thick stainless steel
Basic mechanical assembly

As the Sheet Metal Worker you will:

Be an experienced Sheet Metal worker familiar with working in a range of materials and thicknesses to produce complex fabrications
Be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of TIG welding
Have the ability to operate a Pressbrake
Have the ability to communicate effectively and complete all assigned tasks to strict standards and specifications
Be able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
Ideally hold a relevant welding, fabrication apprenticeship or qualifications
Have previous experience in producing high quality bespoke fabrications

The Company:

Well-established special purpose machinery manufacturer working on interesting projects
8am - 4.30pm Monday - Thursday
8am - 3.30pm Friday
Overtime available
