Payroll Officer | £23,000 - £25,000 | Permanent | Yorkshire | Hybrid:

Castlefield Recruitment are working with a highly reputable organisation in Yorkshire who are looking to recruit a Payroll Officer to their team on a permanent basis. The role offers hybrid working, generous annual leave and other great benefits.

Duties:

  • Acting as a first point of contact for internal employees to offer advice regarding anything payroll related
  • Ensuring payroll data is accurate and maintaining an error free experience for colleagues
  • Analysing the payroll process and implementing improvements where possible  
  • Updating/maintaining the payroll system and providing guidance to colleagues to ensure the system is being utilised  

Experience:

  • Previous experience in payroll and a great understanding of processes and procedures related to payroll
  • Great attention to detail and exceptional organisation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and Microsoft excel literate
  • Knowledge of PAYE legislation and experience using iTrent
  • Ability to work proactively and use your own initiative
  • Not-for-profit/public sector background (desirable)
