We are seeking a Clinical Specialist to join a growing and innovative team in the healthcare and medical device sector. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with significant clinical knowledge to play a key role in driving clinical excellence, supporting product development, and contributing to patient outcomes.

Role Purpose:
The Clinical Specialist will be responsible for overseeing clinical aspects of medical device use and research, collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to provide education, support, and guidance. The role requires working closely with sales, marketing, and healthcare professionals to ensure high standards of product implementation, compliance, and training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical expertise to support projects, campaigns, and events.
  • Develop and deliver CPD-approved training programs on pressure ulcer prevention and medical device use.
  • Work with the marketing and sales teams to create clinically accurate and engaging content for materials.
  • Manage clinical trials, ensuring compliance with NHS Health Research Authority (HRA) and Integrated Research Application System (IRAS) requirements.
  • Build relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and support the development of a business advisory board.
  • Collaborate with customers to ensure the effective use of medical devices, tailored to individual patient care.
  • Coach, mentor, and train colleagues, manufacturing teams, and healthcare professionals on the use of medical devices.
  • Develop clinical pathways and implementation plans for the product portfolio.
  • Provide support during equipment review meetings and events, driving clinical focus and expertise.
  • Investigate incidents related to device failure or adverse events, developing actions to reduce risk.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Clinical Expertise: Minimum of 5 years clinical experience, with significant knowledge in tissue viability. Experience in manual handling or falls management is advantageous.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Advanced understanding of healthcare regulations, compliance, and governance, particularly regarding pressure ulcer prevention devices.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan, execute, and lead clinical projects and training events.
  • Collaborative Mindset: Proven ability to work across multidisciplinary teams, supporting a collaborative and solution-focused environment.
  • NMC PIN: Must maintain active nursing registration (NMC PIN), with organizational support provided to meet this requirement.
  • Driving Licence: Full UK driving licence required for travel between sites.
