As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will create and build a pipeline of prospective customers and convert those prospects into Whistl International customers. The role also supports and develops an existing international client base across the entire Whistl estate.

You will plan and prioritise sales activity (e.g. tenders/pitches) to bring on new customers across multiple sectors and verticals to contribute to Whistl's international growth strategy.

  • Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to inform strategy

Additional Information

This Senior Business Development Manager role is home-based, 37.5 hours a week, offering a company car or car allowance and a generous unlimited bonus. The territory is the Midlands to the South East and West.



Essential Skills

  • Experience in both the international parcel industry and an e-commerce-related competitive marketplace
  • Strong analytical and numeracy skills, including the ability to analyse data, draw relevant conclusions, and make recommendations to customers
  • Fluency in software operating systems, such as MS Office and customer relationship management systems


Desirable Skills

  • Advanced knowledge of the international postal and parcel industry as well as knowledge of any specific market sectors (e.g. banking, e-commerce, public sector, energy)
  • In-depth knowledge of Whistl International products and services
  • Project management experience
  • Domestic UK Mail and Parcel industry knowledge
  • International import/export knowledge
  • Customs clearance knowledge
