We are currently working with a multi-academy trust who are looking for a temporary finance assistant to provide accurate, efficient, and effective support for the development and operation of the finance function of the academies.

The key duties of your role will include:

  • Accurate inputting of financial data.
  • Supporting colleagues with processing purchase orders from requisitions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to authorisation and timescales.
  • Recording delivery of goods and completing goods received notes.
  • Processing invoices with appropriate authorisation for payment.
  • Reconciling supplier statements, resolving invoice queries, arranging returns, and ensuring receipt of refunds or credit notes.
  • Raising sales invoices and chasing debtor payments.
  • Maintaining an organised filing system for paper and electronic records.
  • Managing queries from suppliers, debtors, and colleagues.
  • Ensuring confidential, tactful, and secure management of sensitive information.

If you are someone who has previous working knowledge of purchase ledger and financial systems. You will need to be someone who has both verbal and written communication skills along with being organised.
