Job Description: As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing cover for absent teachers across various subjects and year groups. Your primary duties will include:
- Supervising classes during the short-term absence of teachers.
- Delivering pre-prepared lessons and ensuring students remain on task.
- Managing classroom behavior and maintaining a positive learning environment.
- Supporting students with their learning and addressing any questions or concerns.
- Collaborating with teaching staff to ensure continuity of learning.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in schools, specifically in cover teaching and general cover roles.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A flexible and adaptable approach to work.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- DBS Enhanced preferred, but not necessary as Reed Education will help initiate the process.
