About the Role

As a DT (Food) Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons in food technology to KS3 and KS4 students.
  • Inspire a passion for cooking, nutrition, and food science, fostering creativity and skill development.
  • Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum and school policies.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment, ensuring all students can thrive.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the Design Technology department.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • A specialism in food technology with proven experience teaching this subject at secondary level.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to motivate students.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to making a difference in young people's lives.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
