About the Role:
As a Teacher of English, you will be instrumental in shaping students' reading, writing, and analytical abilities, equipping them for academic success and beyond. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, prepare, and deliver high-quality English lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
- Create a positive and stimulating learning environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress, offering constructive feedback to guide continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share resources, contributing to a cohesive and comprehensive curriculum.
- Participate actively in departmental meetings, shaping the development of the English curriculum and supporting the department’s overall success.
- Engage with parents and carers, providing regular updates on student progress and addressing any concerns.

The Ideal Candidate:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a degree in English or a related field.
- Has proven experience teaching English at the secondary level, with a thorough understanding of the national curriculum.
- Possesses a deep passion for English literature and language, with the ability to inspire students of all abilities.
- Demonstrates excellent classroom management skills and the ability to cultivate a stimulating learning environment.
