- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that engage and inspire students, catering to a range of abilities and learning styles.
- Promote a love of languages and an understanding of French culture through innovative teaching methods and resources.
- Monitor, assess and report on student progress, providing targeted interventions where necessary.
- Contribute to the development of the MFL curriculum and wider departmental initiatives.
- Support the school's ethos and values, fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment.
Essential Criteria:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in French or a related subject.
- A strong understanding of the French curriculum and the ability to deliver high-quality lessons.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
- A commitment to raising standards and fostering a love for languages in young people.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience teaching another modern foreign language (e.g. Spanish or German).
- Knowledge of strategies to engage and challenge learners of all abilities.
- A willingness to contribute to extracurricular activities, such as language clubs or trips abroad.
