We are seeking an enthusiastic Geography Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Bradford on a full-time basis. You will have the opportunity to shape the way students understand the world around them, from physical landscapes to human geography, making a lasting impact on their educational journey.

Requirements:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or PGCE in Geography or a relevant subject.
  • Experience teaching Geography at the secondary level is preferred but not essential for exceptional candidates.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
  • Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to fostering student engagement and achievement.
  • A passion for Geography and a desire to bring the subject to life for students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Geography lessons to students in KS3 and KS4.
  • Plan, prepare, and mark student's work, ensuring progression and achievement.
  • Create an inclusive learning environment that supports the diverse needs of students.
  • Foster student's curiosity and encourage independent thinking through innovative teaching methods.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, school-wide activities, and professional development sessions.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting a positive and respectful learning atmosphere.
