Day-to-day of the role:

  • Develop and implement an engaging History curriculum that caters to all types of learners.
  • Lead the History faculty, drawing on extensive teaching and leadership experience to achieve high standards and pupil outcomes.
  • Coach and motivate colleagues to meet individual and collective educational targets.
  • Foster an environment that encourages innovation and creativity to engage and progress learners.
  • Maintain high standards of teaching and learning, and ensure sustained delivery of outstanding attainment and achievement.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Ability to teach History to GCSE standard.
  • Proven track record of improving standards and raising pupil outcomes.
  • Experience in leading a team or faculty within a school setting.
  • Strong organisational and motivational skills.
  • Ability to engage, enthuse, and progress learners through innovative and creative teaching methods.
