We are looking for a passionate French Teacher to join our dynamic secondary school in Bradford, starting January 2025. This role involves teaching French to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.

Our school is a cutting-edge institution for students aged 11 to 18 and is part of the prestigious Star Academies network. We are seeking an exceptional teacher to inspire and nurture the next generation of leaders, especially in a community that faces educational challenges.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Deliver engaging and effective French lessons to students across KS3 and KS4.
  • Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans that meet curriculum guidelines.
  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
  • Maintain discipline through well-focused teaching and through positive and productive relationships.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, parent meetings, and whole school training events.
  • Be involved in the broader school community, including supporting extracurricular activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • QTS Teaching qualification (PGCE, SCITT, MEd, Cert. Ed, etc.) or equivalent.
  • Experience delivering the French curriculum up to GCSE and A-Level is desirable.
  • A proactive team member committed to raising standards and student achievement.
  • Newly Qualified Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply.
  • Right to Work in the UK (Visa Sponsorship not provided).
