A secondary school in Leeds is seeking a dedicated and keen Teacher of English to join their school on a long-term, part-time basis, starting ASAP.

Position Details
- Location: Bradford
- Contract: Part-time role (Monday - Thursday)
- Pay Rate: £150 - £223 per day (UPS rates will be considered)
Requirements
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Strong subject knowledge
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons that align with the curriculum.
- Support students in developing their reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
- Differentiate instruction to cater to the diverse needs of learners.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting a positive learning atmosphere.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Prepare students for GCSE examinations with tailored strategies and interventions.
- Contribute to the development of English department schemes of work.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding student progress.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events as required.
- Promote a love of English through extracurricular activities, such as book clubs or writing workshops.
- Create an inclusive environment where books and reading are accessible for all students.
