The school is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of Maths to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time position, starting on 22nd April 2025, teaching Key Stage 3 students. Essential Requirements
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Experience teaching Key Stage 3 Maths in a secondary school setting (desirable but not essential for ECTs).
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage and inspire students of all abilities.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for mathematics.
- A proactive and enthusiastic attitude towards teaching and learning.
- Creative and adaptable approach to teaching.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated maths lessons for Key Stage 3.
- Create a stimulating learning environment that promotes curiosity and problem-solving skills.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to cater to diverse learning styles.
- Support students in developing their mathematical confidence and independent thinking.
- Participate in departmental meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities, including maths clubs and competitions.
- Set meaningful homework tasks that consolidate learning and challenge students.
- Promote a growth mindset and a positive attitude towards maths.
- Engage students with real-world applications of maths to inspire interest and motivation.
- Support students in developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
