We are seeking a Housing Support Worker for an organisation in West Yorshire to start immediately.
You must have previous experience providing support to vulnerable people in a housing environment, be able to drive and have an updated Enhanced DBS.
Although this is initially a temporary position, it could go permanent for the right candidate.
Some of the key duties will include;
- Work constructively with people through Support Plans to address their needs
- Encourage support and assist people with their confidence to participate in decision making
- Provide a supportive atmosphere for people
- Undertake duties in respect of referrals, needs assessments, lettings and signing up new people to the service.
- Explain and issue occupancy agreements and participating in related activities (e.g. dealing with breaches of house rules, issuing warnings, serving notices and carrying out evictions if required)
