Learning Support Assistant

Full-time / Temporary to Permanent contract

NextGen Teachers have an exciting opportunity for a Learning Support Assistant based in Bradford, BD5. The ideal LSA will have experience working with children with special educational needs, such as Autism, PMLD, ADHD and behavioural challenges. This role will include 1:1 support work with children as well as group intervention and classroom support. Strong communication is essential, in order to successfully liaise with parents and staff regarding reports and assessments for the children in regards to development plans.

  • 8:30 - 3:30 (Monday - Friday)
  • 13 weeks of holiday per year
  • Previous School-based experience is required

We seeking a caring and compassionate individual who has experience with SEN/SEMH needs. This role could also be suitable for a candidate who has worked in a Childrens residential home or as a Support Worker for young adults.

Requirements for Learning Support Assistant:

  • Experience working with SEN/SEMH needs
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • An enhanced child DBS on the update service (or willingness to complete one)
  • Two professional references
  • The right to work in the UK
