We are excited to be working with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Bradford which is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. The role is expected to last until at least the end of the summer term.
This full-time, long-term supply role offers an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students who need it most, providing them with the tools and support for both in and out of the classroom. This position is ideal for someone with patience, empathy and a commitment to helping students overcome challenges and thrive in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a safe and supportive environment, promoting positive behaviour and emotional well-being
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with a range of special educational needs, including Autism, ADHD, and SEMH
- Supporting the class teacher with positive and captivating learning approaches
To be considered for this role, candidates should ideally have:
- Experience working within an educational setting
- Good knowledge/ understanding of SEND
- Two education or school-based references
- A calm, positive and resilient nature
- The ability to work using your own initiative
