We are recruiting for a Support Worker to join our lovely team on a part-time, permanent basis based in the Thronton area. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £13.50 per hour weekdays / £14.50 per hour weekends.

We are extremely proud to offer very distinct and specialised case management services for adults and children recovering from an acquired / traumatic brain injury, spinal or catastrophic injuries and associated disabilities or conditions.

The Support Worker Role:

We are currently recruiting for a Support Worker for a lovely 63-year-old Gentleman in the Thornton area to maximise his independence following a traumatic brain injury.

Initially Sunday’s only, a minimum of 6 hours per week with the potential to increase number of hours in the future and extra hours available for the cover of staff holidays.

What we are looking for in our Support Worker:

We are looking for somebody with an empathetic approach and great communication skills. Experience of working in the community with individuals with a traumatic brain injury, including, cognitive and memory difficulties is essential.

Applicants require a dynamic approach, with the ability to promote independence. You will be required to engage with the client in their home & in community activities. This includes medication administration, facilitating community outings, assisting with managing the home environment and seizure management.

We believe this opportunity is commutable from – Leeds, Bradford and Halifax, as well as the surrounding villages.

Driver/Full licence essential. 

Flexible approach necessary with regards to working shift patterns should hours increase in the future.

Successful applicants will receive support, training & supervision.
