Role: Housing Manager - Team Leader

Location: Bradford, BD8

Hours: 35 hours per week, times between 08:30 and 18:00

Salary: £25,000

Note: Enhanced DBS and Driving Licence Required

Are you an experienced and dynamic leader, passionate about supporting vulnerable individuals? Our client is seeking a Team Leader to join their organisation and make a difference in the lives of service users. With a focus on communication, independent living skills, and support planning, this role offers the opportunity to lead a dedicated team and contribute to the well-being of those in need.

As a Team Leader, you will have the chance to:

  • Communicate effectively with service users, workers, and external professionals, both orally and in writing, ensuring clear and concise information is shared.
  • Support and empower service users, guiding them in developing and enhancing their independent living skills.
  • Assess the needs of service users and collaborate with partner agencies to create support plans that address their unique requirements.
  • Deliver a comprehensive resettlement service that aids in the successful transition of service users into independent living arrangements.
  • Perform financial duties, including maintaining a petty cash system and managing rent collection.
  • Undertake various household responsibilities, such as preparing rooms for occupancy.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of organisational policies and adhere to them when working with service users.
  • Apply effective risk management procedures when handling referrals and developing support plans, ensuring the safety and well-being of residents.
  • Manage a caseload of service users, facilitating communication and coordination among all parties involved.
  • Manage crisis situations with calmness and rationality, providing support and guidance to service users and staff.

Experience Required:

  • Previous experience working directly with vulnerable individuals, whether in a paid or voluntary capacity, will be highly valued.
  • Familiarity with line management responsibilities, including the onboarding of new staff members, on-site coaching, staff supervision, and conducting appraisals.
  • Experience in support, care, or skill planning with service users, ensuring their needs are met in a comprehensive and personalised manner.
  • Proven track record in representing and advocating for the interests of service users when engaging with external agencies.

Our client offers a permanent, full-time role with an annual salary of £24,500. The successful candidate should possess a valid driving licence, as some travel is required to fulfil the duties of this role.
